LVM Snapshot

  • create partition
  • create PV `pvcreate`
  • create VG `vgcreate <VG_NAME> <PV_NAME>`
  • create LV
lvcreate -n <LV_NAME> -l <pct>%FREE <VG_NAME>
  • format
mkfs.xfs `/dev/mapper/<VG_NAME>-<LV_NAME>
  • create mount point `mkdir -p <mountpoint>`
  • mount
